As a result of the investment made in our school by the Australian Government’s Nation Building – Economic Stimulus Plan we now have:

  • new, larger, flexible learning environments for stage three;
  • fully refurbished, larger, flexible learning environments for Early Stage One, Stage One and Stage Two;
  • a refurbished, larger multi-purpose room (renamed the Mary MacKillop learning space in honour of Mary MacKillop’s canonisation);
  • new, flexible, covered outdoor learning and play spaces;
  • a lift.

This provides our school with the infrastructure to meet the needs of the twenty-first century learner.

As our school captain, Ciara Ryan, expressed in her speech ‘Our school, St Mary’s, is more than brick, glass and steel. It is a place where we aspire to be the best we can be. Where we inspire others through leadership and where we all strive to make a difference in our community and in our world.’
As Ciara went on to say ‘like our beautiful jacaranda tree that stands silently in our playground,our school has grown and changed over the years’ but whatever the changes we remain committed to creating the best possible learning environment for all our students, ensuring that at the heart of St Mary’s School Community is our Catholic faith, nurtured in the diverse traditions of our founders, where learning opportunities inspire and empower all to be people of hope
